Sara Buri hosts cultural exchange activities

Sara Buri has become the latest city to host cultural exchange activities supported by representatives of 15 different countries around the world.

Chairing the opening ceremony, Sara Buri Governor Bundit Thewithiwarak led participants to observe 89 seconds of silence in remembrance of the late King of Thailand, King Rama IX, followed by cultural performances by 15 different nations such as South Korea, Egypt, Sri Lanka, and Israel representing the participating countries. Thailand presented its classical masked dance, “Khon,” and other traditional dances.

The cultural exchange event was co-organized by City Hall and the Regional Development Strategies Foundation and was attended by the Egyptian Ambassador to Thailand and other foreign diplomats.

Ayutthaya and Nakhon Pathom will be the next cities to host such an event.
