Sa Pa to host Korean Cultural Day

VOV.VN - The Embassy of the Republic of Korea (RoK) in Vietnam and the administration of Lao Cai province are scheduled to launch Korean Cultural Day in Sa Pa on March 10 - 11.

A wide range of activities will be held to popularise the culture and tourism potential of both the RoK and Vietnam. Visitors will also have the chance to try on traditional costumes, sample delicacies, and play folk games of the two countries.

The highlight of the event will be a music gala held at 7:30 p.m. on March 11, that is expected to attract Vietnamese and Korean artists, including K-pop dance troupe The Acode, Vietnamese singer Van Mai Huong, and music band Minh Toc & Lam.

Both Vietnamese and Korean artists will join in singing and dance performances featuring the culture of Vietnam’s northwestern region.

Sa Pa is a small town situated in the northwestern mountainous province of Lao Cai, about 350km away from Hanoi.

According to the Korean Cultural Centre in Vietnam, Sa Pa is renowned for being a popular tourist destination in the country. It is now well-known among Korean people for its majestic scenery, as well as the hospitability and friendliness of local people, combined with an exquisite unique local cuisine.

Korean Cultural Day is part of activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the RoK this year.
