Russian folk culture on show in Hanoi

VOV.VN - The artists of the Russian National Orchestra delivered an impressive performance at Hanoi Opera House on October 5 as part of activities to mark Russian Cultural Days in Vietnam.

Russian Cultural Days opened in Hanoi on October 5. The event is co-organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Russian Ministry of Culture, aiming to introduce Russian folk culture to audiences in the capital city.

The famous Beryozka Choreographic Ensemble provides audiences with impressive performances of traditional dance.

Female artists perform a dance on the theme of autumn.

The Beryozka Choreographic Ensemble was established in 1948 by Russian ballet dancer Nadezhda Nadezhdina. Pictured is the Beryozka circle dance, which has become the brand name of the ensemble.

The ensemble included only female artists at the beginning. Since 1959, the male dancers have joined the group to make the performance more dynamic.

The colours of Russian nature are worn on the stage of Hanoi Opera House.

At the opening ceremony, Russian Deputy Minister of Culture Zhuravskiy Alexander emphasized that the event aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of humanities.
