Russia-Vietnam friendship bridge tightens students’ solidarity

VOV.VN - The Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation recently organised the event "Russia-Vietnam Friendship Bridge" at its headquarters campus in Moscow as part of efforts to introduce Vietnamese cultural values to international friends, as well as tightening solidarity between students from other countries.

Those in attendance at the event included representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, the Vietnamese Party Committee in Russia, FU leaders, sponsoring businesses, and a large number of Vietnamese students and graduate students studying at the FU, as well as Vietnamese students at other universities in Moscow, alongside both Russian and international students.

The occasion served to introduce Vietnamese cultural traditions, impressive tourist destinations in both Vietnam and Russia using 3D technology, and typical Vietnamese cuisine to Russian and international friends.

It also covered a painting exhibition featuring the friendship between both sides and a song and dance programme performed by Vietnamese and Russian students at FU, as well as those from other universities in Moscow.

Speaking at the ceremony, Stanislav Prokofiev, principal of the Financial University, highlighted the decades of friendly and mutually beneficial relationship between Russia and Vietnam. He assessed that the exceptionally friendly and warm humane relationship between the two peoples is a rare precedent in world history.

He expressed the FU’s pride as there are currently more than 180 Vietnamese students and graduate students studying at the university.

Prokofiev said that he and the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia recently agreed to launch Vietnam Day on the university's campus, expressing that this is a great tradition that allows not only Vietnamese students to meet each other, but also helps to introduce Vietnamese culture and art to Russian and foreign students.

On behalf of the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, Counselor Nguyen Doan Hai welcomed the organisation of the event, saying that the occasion will help to promote the friendly relationship between the two countries, as well as between the FU and the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia in the context that this year celebrates the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the Basic Principles of Friendly Relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
