A light afternoon drizzle and cool temperatures set a pleasant tone for the event. Although it was the fifth night of the festival, large crowds still filled the stands along the Han River.

Themed Powered by Innovation, the night featured stunning displays combining modern technology and artistic fireworks performances.

Making their debut at DIFF, Korean team Faseecom brought a strong desire to define a unique identity for modern fireworks. Their performance, titled "Dance of the Flying Dragon", drew inspiration from the image of the dragon – a significant cultural symbol in East Asia - and Da Nang’s iconic Dragon Bridge.

Right from the start, the    audience was immersed in a poetic atmosphere with soft fireworks choreographed to gentle music. The highlight came when dynamic yellow and blue fireworks lit up the sky to the beat of a fast-paced rap track, energising the entire crowd.

The performance concluded grandly with the song Undefeated, symbolising Da Nang’s determination to rise in the new era.

Going head-to-head with Faseecom was Italy’s Martarello Group S.R.L, one of the world’s most accomplished fireworks teams. With DIFF championships in 2017 and 2018, a runner-up title in 2023, and the “Audience Favorite” award in 2024, Martarello returned to Da Nang with a new masterpiece "Symphony of Light – Unlocking the Future."

Inspired by Da Nang’s transformative journey in the modern era, the performance opened with a radiant sunrise symbolising a new beginning, and took viewers through waves of colour representing vitality, energy, and aspiration. The show featured a captivating mix of rock and opera, offering the audience a cinematic experience.

Thoughtfully integrating popular Vietnamese songs like Chuyện cũ bỏ qua and Bống bống bang bang, the performance created a sense of familiarity and pride among the crowd. It ended with a spectacular “rain of light” across the stands, affirming the team’s elite status and its message of a bold, forward-moving Da Nang.

The two best teams from the qualifying rounds will be announced on June 29 afternoon. The grand finale of DIFF 2025 is scheduled for 8:10 PM on July 12, promising a night of dazzling displays and unforgettable emotions.
