Rock concert to celebrate Vietnam’s 80th National Day
VOV.VN - A special rock concert featuring the nation’s leading performers will be held at Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi on September 6 to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).

Organised by the Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation and Netmedia Joint Stock Company, the event carries the theme “Rock Concert – Trái tim Việt Nam” (Rock Concert – Vietnamese Heart), aiming to evoke feelings of patriotism and national pride.
According to the organisers on August 30, the line-up will include renowned rock bands such as Bức Tường (The Wall), Chillies, The Flob, Blue Whales, alongside popular singers Pham Anh Khoa, Pham Thu Ha, and Duong Tran Nghia.
Nguyen Trung Dung, general director of the concert, expressed hope that the event would not only serve as a large-scale music festival bringing together famous bands and popular hits but also act as a bridge connecting the nation’s heroic past with the younger generation through music.
The programme will also feature unique elements designed to surprise audiences, including a first-time collaboration between the Thanh Âm Xanh folk band and well-known rock bands.
The concert is expected to be a highlight among the series of art activities organised for Vietnam’s 80th National Day anniversary.
