Reporters get taste of traditional food before DPRK-USA Hanoi Summit

VOV.VN - Pho, a kind of noodle soup, and Bun Cha, noodles with grilled meat, are among some of the traditional foods being served up for free to more than 3,000 reporters who are present in Vietnam for the upcoming second DPRK-USA Summit, which will take place on February 27-28.

A large number of reporters enjoyed their meals at the Cultural Friendship Palace in Hanoi on February 26 which will serve as the international media centre for the duration of the second DPRK-USA Summit.
The preparations in the buildup to the event have been meticulous, it is hoped that the dishes served will help advertise Vietnamese traditional cuisine to international reporters.

Pho Thin is considered one of Vietnam’s most famous foods. A booth offering Pho Thin was popular with many reporters, who enjoyed sampling some of the traditional foods of Vietnam.
A long line of foreign reporters queued up at booth offering Bun Thang, noodle soup featuring shredded of chicken, pork, fried egg, mushrooms, and dried turnip.
The Vietnamese dishes on offer seem to be a hit with the international reporters.
Different aspects of the capital will be on show through the event.
Salad dishes were also offered.
Dragon fruit and watermelon are among some of the best-known Vietnamese fruit.
Reporter Toni Semaan from Sky News Arabia mentioned how impressed he was by the delicious taste of a traditional Vietnamese meal.
