Quang Tri regional art festival involving artists from 5 ASEAN countries

VOV.VN - A regional art festival is being held in Quang Tri central province on July 18 – 25.

The opening ceremony was attended by nearly 1,000 artists from Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

Twenty-one art troupes are set to stage 221 performances to vie for gold and silver medals during the festival.

Performances should feature history and traditional culture of each participating country, and honour mutual friendship, according to the organizing board.

The festival is jointly organised by the Quang Tri provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the International Cooperation Department, the Vietnam Dancers’ Association and the Vietnam Composers’ Association.

The event will take place at Quang Tri provincial Culture Centre, offering free admission. It will close on August 25.
