Quang Ninh student tops Intelligence Quiz
The laurels went to Dang Thai Hoang, a high school student from the northern province of Quang Ninh, at “The Road to Mt. Olympia” contest on June 24.
It was an annual intelligence quiz show organized by Vietnam Television for top students.
Hoang outdid three other contestants: Tran Le Phuong from Quang Nam province, Nguyen Ngoc Khanh from Kon Tum province and Than Ngoc Tinh from HCM City, to win a scholarship worth US$25,000.
He obtained the highest score of 250 points, Tinh came second with 230 points while Khanh and Phuong were placed third.
The 12th annual event involving contestants from high schools in many cities and provinces over the country was broadcast live from VTV Studio 9 in Hanoi.
