Quang Nam marks UNESCO’s recognition of world cultural heritages

VOV.VN - The central province of Quang Nam has planned diverse activities to celebrate UNESCO’s recognition of My Son sanctuary and Cu Lao Cham (Cham Islands) as a world cultural heritage and biosphere reverse.

Accordingly, a wide range of activities are scheduled for May, September and December, 2019. They include ceremonies to mark the 20th anniversary of UNESCO’s recognition of Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary as world cultural heritages and the 10th anniversary of Cu Lao Cham recognized as a biosphere reverse, and a seminar on the conservation and promotion of Hoi An and My Son cultural value.

Hoi An will launch an Indochina heritage tour, and host a VTV International Women's Volleyball Cup 2019 and a fine arts exhibition on cultural heritage.

Photo exhibitions on Hoi An and traditional handicrafts and a book festival will also be held on the occasion.

An art performance on My Son Sanctuary, the final of the Miss Heritage 2019 beauty pageant and street parade of vintage cars will also be organized in Hoi An.

These activities aim to find positive solutions for the conservation and promotion of Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary in the coming time.
