PVF Vietnam disqualified from U15 Asean Champions Trophy 2013

(VOV) - PVF Vietnam couldn’t make it to the semi-finals of U15 Asean Champions Trophy 2013 after losing 1-3 to Frenz Malaysia A in Ho Chi Minh City on August 1.

The scoring was opened by a penalty from the guest team in the 12th minute but was equalized in the 37th minute of the first half.

Despite great efforts in the second half, host PVF Vietnam could not reverse the situation when Amirul Adam scored two more goals for his Malaysian team in the 73rd and 78th minutes.

After this defeat, PVF was placed third with 20 points, paving the way for Frenz Malaysia A (21 points) and Chonburi Thailand (22 points) to meet Frenz Indonesia and Frenz Malaysia B in the semi-finals.  

U15 Asean Champions Trophy 2013 is a tournament involving twelve U15 teams in the Southeast Asian region.

They are divided into two groups: Singapore NFA, Frenz Malaysia A, Phnompenh Crown (Cambodia), PVF Vietnam, East Timor, Chonburi Thailand in group A and Frenz Indonesia, Myanmar Mandalay, NFA ( Brunei ), Laos Toyota, Frenz Malaysia B, the Philippines in group B.

The tournament started on May 25 and will last through to September 1.
