Produce 101 Japan launches global casting call in Vietnam
VOV.VN - Produce 101 Japan, the popular Japanese idol survival show produced by Lapone Entertainment, has officially launched its new season titled Produce 101 Japan: New World, and for the first time ever, Vietnam is included in the global audition tour.
The first round of international auditions is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, USA. According to the producers, this season will also introduce global online streaming and international fan voting, allowing audiences worldwide to participate in the journey of forming a new idol group.
Produce 101 Japan is a Japanese adaptation of the original Korean survival show Produce, aired on Mnet. Since its debut in 2019, the show has completed three seasons and produced several successful male idol groups, gaining massive popularity in Japan.
The format features 101 trainees competing in singing and dance challenges, with the final group lineup determined entirely by public votes. Unlike the Korean version where winning groups often disband after short-term contracts, winners of Produce 101 Japan are expected to promote long-term, aiming to expand their careers across Asia.
Dancers to compete in first TV reality show Street Dance Vietnam
