Portraits of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, heroines exhibited

An exhibition featuring portraits of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers and heroines of the people’s armed forces in the Military Region 7 opened in Ho Chi Minh City on October 19 to mark Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20).

The exhibition aims to praise and raise public awareness of the sacrifice of the armed forces and people of the southeastern and southern central regions, especially great contributions made by Heroic Vietnamese Mothers and heroines of the people’s armed forces to the struggle for national liberation in the past and the national construction and defence cause at present.
The opening ceremony saw the attendance of former State President Nguyen Minh Triet, former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, former Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Le Thanh Hai and nearly 100 Heroic Mothers and heroines of the people’s armed forces.
The event will open to visitors until November 10.
