Pianist Grzybowski takes centre-stage in HCM City

VOV.VN - It has been unveiled that Warsaw educated pianist Maciej Grzybowski will take centre-stage on December 2 at the opening of the European Music Festival in Ho Chi Minh City.

Maciej Grzybowski’s artistic career began in 1990 in his homeland of Poland. Since then he has performed as a soloist and chamber musician and made numerous phonographic, radio and television recordings.

He was nominated four times for the prestigious ‘Polityka's Passports’ award. Two of his records – Bach, Berg, Mykietyn, Schönberg, Szymański and Paweł Szymański – Works for Piano, released by Universal and EMI Classics, were nominated for the ‘Fryderyk’ Polish Recording Industry Award.

As a soloist, he has performed at many international festivals along with such great artists like Martha Argerich, Paul Badura-Skoda, Grigorij Sokołow, Ivo Pogorelich, Piotr Anderszewski, as well as with the Arditti Quartet and the London Sinfonietta.

His interpretations of Bach, Berg, Schönberg, Szymański and Mykietyn show the touch of a genius, say critics. There are certainly none today that can equal his readings of Bach.
