Phuong Nhi wins first prize at Miss International 2023

This marks the first title that Nhi has won at the beauty pageant.

Miss Visit Japan is a sub-prize given at the Miss International 2023 competition. The winner of the prize will serve as a Japanese Tourism Ambassador and will be responsible for spreading the beauty of the Far East nation to international friends.

Phuong Nhi stands at 1.70 metres tall with measurements of 80-57-88. Born in the central province of Thanh Hoa, the 21-year-old local beauty was the second runner-up title at Miss World Vietnam 2022.

Going into the contest, Nhi was anticipated to be named as the second runner-up in a pre-arrival pick for the upcoming beauty pageant by beauty website Sash Factor of the Philippines. The local beauty was also predicted to make the Top 3 by Missosology, the world’s leading publication on beauty pageants.

Moving forward, the global pageant is scheduled to be held in Tokyo in Japan this October, with the grand finale taking place on October 26.

First launched back in 1960, Miss International makes up one of the Big Four international beauty competitions, alongside Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Earth. This year marks the 61st edition of the global pageant.

In previous versions of the competition, Vietnamese representatives have won high prizes, including Pham Hong Thuy Van who finished as the third runner-up back in 2015, in addition to Tuong San who was named among the Top 8 during the 2019 version of the pageant.
