Photo & film festival on protecting ASEAN environment
(VOV) - The Ministry of Information and Communications on July 22 launched a 2013 festival of photos and reportage-documentary film on environmental protection and climate change in ASEAN.
With a vision to 2020, the festival aims to build a community of caring societies and a clean and green ASEAN with a fully stable mechanism for sustainable development and environmental protection, ensuring the sustainability of natural resources in the region and the quality of life in all ASEAN countries.
It also promotes cooperation and mutual understanding among nations in the process of building a single, united ASEAN community by 2015 and realizing the ASEAN Charter.
Entries are photographs, reportage, and documentaries reflecting the real situation and the impact of environmental pollution and climate change on ASEAN.
The contest is open to collectives,and individuals of all ASEAN member countries.
Each collective or individual can send 10 pieces of works at maximum for each category.
Works can be sent to the Centre for Press and International Communication Co-operation on 61 Tho Nhuom street, Hanoi or through emal festival.asean2013@gmail.com. The deadline will be October 31, 2013.
An awards ceremony is scheduled for December 2013.
