The Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association on April 30 inaugurated a documentary photo exhibition entitled "The enduring friendship between Uzbekistan and Vietnam" at the House of Photography in the capital city of Tashkent, aiming to strengthen the two countries’ traditional friendship.

The exhibition took place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of South and national reunification of Vietnam (April 30, 1975 - 2025).
At the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Committee for Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries Olim Narzullaev, Chairman of the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Society Alisher Mukhamedov, and a representative of the Vietnamese community in Tashkent delivered welcome speeches. They emphasised the importance of the exhibition in further strengthening the traditional friendship with Vietnam and promoting relations in the fields of education, culture, tourism, and economy.
The exhibition showcased documentary photos of visits by Vietnamese delegations, the participation of representatives from both countries in the International Film Festival of Asian, African, and Latin American countries, and cooperation activities between the two countries in the field of higher education.
Uzbekistan and Vietnam have enjoyed a long lasting relationship. More than 3,500 Vietnamese students have studied at educational institutions in Uzbekistan and played an important role in strengthening the friendship between the people of the two countries.
