People flock to largest flower festival in northern Vietnam
VOV.VN - Thousands of people converged on Me Linh district of Hanoi on December 26 evening to attend the launch of the Me Linh Flower Festival 2024, the largest of its kind in northern Vietnam.
The festival is to honour the value of flower villages and promote the local tourism industry. It features a dazzling array of floral displays which combine traditional craftsmanship with modern lighting technology to bring a stunning space to visitors.
Beyond the wide range of floral displays, the four-day festival will offer a number of exciting community to popularize traditional craftsmanship that has been preserved for years.
Highlights will include a flower bicycle decoration contest, a flower painting competition, and an Ao Dai (traditional long dress) fashion show, among others.
The festival will also feature a trade promotion fair showcasing various local agricultural products, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore the rich cultural and economic values of the northern region.
This year marks the second edition of the festival following its successful organisation back in 2022 when it attracted thousands of visitors.
