Painting exhibition marks Vietnam-Australia ties

(VOV) - The Consulate General of Vietnam in Perth, Australia on July 3 opened a painting exhibition titled “Vietnam-Four seasons” as part of activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Australia diplomatic ties. 

Among 300 guests were many state leaders and mayors of many cities in Western Australia, Overseas Vietnamese and international friends.

In his opening speech, Vietnamese Consul General to Perth Le Viet Duyen highlighted the results of bilateral cooperation in the fields of economics, politics, education and training, science and technology, security and defense.

He then presented a Perth landscape painting from Vietnamese artists to local authorities and people and wished for closer ties between Vietnam and Australia.

Apart from seeing a collection of Vietnamese silk paintings, the guests enjoyed some traditional dances performed by Vietnamese students in Perth.
