Pacific Alliance Film Festival to return to Hanoi

VOV.VN - The embassies of Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Mexico will once again come together to celebrate the fourth edition of the Pacific Alliance Film Festival, with the event running from December 4 to December 5 in Hanoi.

Audiences will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of animated films from the four participating countries, with each piece being shown having been awarded multiple international prizes in the film industry.

The occasion will therefore provide a unique opportunity to delve into the fascinating world of animation whilst appreciating the cultural and artistic diversity of these countries, the Embassy of Peru in Vietnam wrote on its website.

The film “Ainbo - Spirit of the Amazon” of Peru and “Historia de un oso” (Bear Story) of Chile will start the event at 6:30 p.m. on December 4 at the National Cinema Center at 87 Lang Ha street in Ba Dinh district.

“Encanto” of Colombia, which won big at the 94th Academy Awards and took home the Oscar in the Best Animated Film category in 2022, will continue the event at 6:30 p.m. on December 5.

Furthermore, “Mi abuela Matilde” (My Grandma Matilde) of Mexico will be screened at the same time.

All films will have subtitles in both Vietnamese and English. Tickets for the event are free and can be picked up at the headquarters of Peruvian and Colombian embassies in Hanoi or through the link https://forms.gle/iVaY8DHS3g6G4QJD6.

The first edition of the festival was held in the central city of Da Nang back in 2019. The function aims to offer Vietnamese viewers a comprehensive look on traditional culture of the four countries.
