Overseas Vietnamese artists to stage classical concert on May 18
Overseas Vietnamese artists will participate in a “Musique Sans Frontières” concert intended to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the HCM City Conservatory of Music in District 1 at 7:30 pm on May 18.

French violinist Vinh Pham, the youngest winner in Tibor Varga (Switzerland) and G.B. Viotti (Italy) competitions, and his sister pianist Tuyet Pham, also of French nationality, specializing in chamber music will join hands with local pianist Thuy Hoang in the forthcoming concert.
Thuy Hoang has performed as a soloist and in concerts with symphony orchestras in many countries.
The audience can watch two local talented artists, violist Thien Bao and pianist Nguyen Trinh, performing.
They have spent most of their youth studying and performing in France and now they come back with an ambition to contribute to the development of classical music in Vietnam.
The concert will feature works such as Mozart’s Sonate pour violon et piano K.296, Brahms’ Trio Op.40 pour Violon, Alto et Piano , Shostakovich’s 5 pièces pour 2 violons et piano, Debussy’s “Clair de lune,” “La Puerta del Vino,” and “Feux d’ Artifice”.
The show will wrap up by Debussy’s Sonate pour violon et piano and Carmen Fantasy pour violon et piano by G. Bizet – P. Sarasate by the violin.
Standard and VIP tickets are priced respectively at VND200,000 and VND250,000.
The event will take place at the Concert Hall of the HCM City Conservatory of Music at 112 Nguyen Du Street in District 1.
