Eight countries and dozens of silk and brocade villages of Vietnam will introduce their products in this year’s festival.

In addition, more than 80 artisans will perform their traditional weaving and dyeing methods at the event.

In 2015, Hoi An silk village represented Vietnam and joined the Asia Silk Alliance as one of seven founding members with the mission of linking Vietnamese silk enterprises with the wider Asian silk community.

The village is a silk-weaving centre and living museum of the ancient trade in the central region, and was voted as the third best attraction in Hoi An city, itself a must-visit destination to tourists for the beauty of its ancient streets, by travel website TripAdvisor in 2015.
