Ngoc Han shines during Vietnam-Lao culture festival

VOV.VN - Ngoc Han, the winner of Miss Vietnam 2010, dazzled in a brocade Ao Dai as she participated in a culture festival held for ethnic minority communities from different regions in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on May 17.

The beauty queen Ngoc Han was a special guest at the festival’s opening ceremony which was held in A Luoi district of Thua Thien-Hue province.
The native Hanoian captured the attention of both local people and tourists as she dressed in a brocade Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) on stage.
The brocade Ao Dai features Zeng weaving, a type of brocade of the Ta Oi ethnic people from the mountainous A Luoi district.
In attendance at the event were local authorities from both Vietnam and Laos, as well as approximately 600 artists from five provinces from across Vietnam’s Central and Central Highlands region such as Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Kon Tum. In addition, artists had also come from four provinces in Laos including Attapeu, Sekong, Savanakhet, and Saravane.
Buangan Xaphuvong (R), the Lao Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, and Trinh Thi Thuy (L), the Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, take part in a traditional Laotian dance.
A number of activities are to be held during the three-day festival such as exhibitions which promote the local cultural and tourism products of both nations, public art performances, ethnic costume shows, brocade weaving, and folk games.
