Nghe Tinh folk singing becomes national cultural heritage
(VOV) - Nghe An and Ha Tinh central provinces hosted a ceremony on August 17 to receive the national cultural heritage certificate for vi giam folk singing and launch the second vi giam folk singing festival.
Deputy Minister of Culture Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien spoke highly of vi giam history and culture in people’s cultural and spiritual life. He also praised the two provinces’ tireless efforts to teach the folk singing while calling them to preserve and promote the cultural beauty to intangible cultural heritage of mankind.
On the occasion, six outstanding artists were presented insignias for the preservation and development of vi giam folk singing.
The second vi giam folklore singing festival is an important cultural event with the aim of promoting the traditional folklore singing towards UNESCO recognition of vi giam as world intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
The event offered a good opportunity for 21 vi giam clubs from the two provinces share experiences and promote vi giam signing to a wider range of people.
