New schedule announced for Miss World Vietnam 2021
VOV.VN - The organisers of the Miss World Vietnam 2021 pageant have unveiled the latest schedule for the upcoming beauty contest, aiming to select a Vietnamese representative to the world beauty pageant in the future.
A press conference to launch the pageant is now set to get underway in March.
Following this, the competition’s initial qualifying rounds are scheduled to take place in April before the final round is held in the fourth quarter of the year.
The beauty contest is to be organised by Sen Vang Entertainment Company and its format will follow that of the Miss World pageant.
Pham Kim Dung, head of the Miss World Vietnam pageant’s organising board, described how the contest is seeking dynamic, young, and modern faces who can represent the country at international pageants.
In previous pageants, national winners went on to enjoy success in global pageants. Most notably, Luong Thuy Linh, Miss World Vietnam 2019, was able to clinch a Top 12 spot in the Miss World 2019 pageant.
Furthermore, Kieu Loan, first runner-up of Miss World Vietnam 2019, was among the Top 10 finalists of the Miss Grand International 2019 pageant.
The Tuong An, second runner-up of Miss World Vietnam 2019, made the leading eight contestants of Miss International 2019, becoming the first Vietnamese representative to win the Best National Costume sub-title.
