New contemporary art space inaugurates in HCM City
A new contemporary art center, considered the biggest of its kind in Ho Chi Minh City, was inaugurated on April 1, providing a new playground for local enthusiasts.
The Factory Contemporary Art Center (FCAC), located in Thao Dien Ward, District 2, features an art reading venue, rooms for group work, and a coffee lounge, besides space for art exhibitions.
The art space, spanning more than 1,000 square meters, marked its opening with a marathon artistic display running in six weeks from April 1.
The exhibition showcases art pieces created by a group of tech-savvy artists called TechNoPhobe.

TechNoPhobe will showcase their works, created with state-of-the-art technology such as 3D printing, video holograms, whose presentations also feature audio-visual interactive effects.
During the six-week event, expo-goers can also attend admission-free workshops and talks to have deeper insight into contemporary art.
A similar art venue with the same model is expected to be set up in Hanoi, according to FCAC founder, fashion designer Ti-a Thuy Nguyen.
