National Shooting Cup attracts 195 competitors
(VOV) - One hundred and ninety five marksmen representing 13 teams nationwide began competitions at Hanoi’s National Shooting Range on May 16.
The teams include Haiphong, the Military, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ninh, Hai Duong, the Ministry of Public Security, Vinh Phuc, Danang, Dak Lak, Quang Nam, Ho Chi Minh City, the national youth team, and host Hanoi.
Shooters will contest singles and team events for both men and women.
The men’s shooting divisions are the 50m rifle with 60 shots, the 50m rifle with position 3x40, the 10m rifle with 60 shots, the 50m pistol with 60 shots, the 10m pistol with 60 shots, the 25m pistol with position 2x30, the 25m standard pistol with position 3x20, the 25m revolver pistol with 30+30, the 25m sport pistol 30+30, the 10m rifle with standards 30+30, the 10m mixed rifle with 40 shots, trap shooting, double trap shooting, and skeet shooting.
Female athletes will take part in the 50m rifle with 60 shots, the 50m rifle with position 3x40, the 10m rifle with 40 shots, the 25m pistol 30+30, the 10m pistol with 40 shots, the 10m rifle with 20+20, the 10m mixed rifle with 40 shots, trap shooting, double trap shooting, and skeet shooting.
The 20th iteration of the annual event will last through to May 22.
Last year, Hanoi’s 19 gold, 13 silver, and 11 bronze medals secured it the championship title. The Military finished second while Hai Duong rounded out the top three.
