National Muay Championships opens in Thanh Hoa
(VOV) - More than 150 athletes from 15 cities and provinces nationwide began National Muay Championships competitions in the north-central province of Thanh Hoa on August 10.
They are vying for 18 sets of medals in 18 weight combat categories, including 10 for men.
The tournament will last through to August 23.
The organizing board said this year’s event promised to be an exciting few days because it has drawn the participation of many excellent athletes and teams.
Outstanding boxers will be selected to represent Vietnam at the 27th SEA Games to be held in Myanmar later this year.
