Music of JS Bach to enthrall HCM City audience

The Music of Johann Sebastian Bach will be a night of classical music masters at Ho Chi Minh City Opera House on August 9, featuring exemplary Vietnamese musicians and the International Chamber Players from the US.

The concert is among a series of events of the Music Festival Vietnam Connection 2016 held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from August 7-14.

It will bring together artists from the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO), the Vietnam National Academy of Music (VNAM) and the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO), including famed violinists Bui Cong Duy, Ngo Hoang Linh, Le Hoang Lan and Tang Thanh Nam, and cellist Tran Thi Mo.

The Vietnamese and American players will take to the stage a selection of Bach’s masterpieces, including Brandengurg Concertos No.3 and 4, Concerto for two violins in D Minor, Concerto for two pianos in C Minor and Concerto for two pianos in C Major.
