Mrs World pageant leader honoured
(VOV) - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented the “For the Cause of Culture, Sports and Tourism” insignia to David Marmel, President of the Mrs World pageant, at a ceremony in Hanoi on October 12.
The award honours Marmel's contributions to cultural and tourism development in Vietnam.
Marmel, who is accompanied by Mrs World 2011 April Lufriu, has been in Vietnam to examine the country’s possibility for hosting the second Mrs World pageant.
Hanoi, Danang, Hoi An and Hue will be their stopovers during their fact-finding tour across Vietnam. The first Mrs World beauty contest was held in Vietnam in 2009.
They also presented gifts to centres for disabled children the same day.
