Mrs Vietnam Model 2018 gets the go-ahead for early organisation

VOV.VN - The Vietnam Model 2018 beauty pageant has been licensed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, giving a good chance to all Vietnamese women aged from 25 to 50 to demonstrate their talents.

According to the organising board, the contestants are married women or those having children. They must have a High School Certificate, be at least 1.58 meters tall and haven't had transgender surgery.

Vietnamese nationals living and working in the country or abroad are able to participate in the contest.

Notably, winners or runners-up in other Vietnamese contests, who got married, can go straight to the semi-final and final rounds. However, they must be approved by the majority of the judges.

The beauty pageant will include a number of sideline activities which convey a message of calling for gender equality, harassment and domestic violence prevention.

The winner of Mrs Vietnam 2018 will receive a total prize of VND200 million while first and second runners-up will be awarded VND150 million and VND100 million, respectively. They will also have chance to compete at Mrs International, Mrs Worldwide, and Mrs Globe.
