Grammy winner to perform in Vietnam
She started her performance with the single Anything, from her latest album New Life, then sang ten other songs that launched her career, including Angel of Mine, The First Night, Love All Over Me, Everything to Me, Without You, It All Belongs to Me and her top hit, The Boy is Mine.
Monica also performed cover versions of late diva Whitney Houston classics such as You Give Good Love, I Wanna Dance with Somebody and I Have Nothing.
Ms Houston had a very good relationship with Monica and Brandy Norwood, and the two younger singers' duet The Boy is Mine confirms that she also significantly influenced their styles.
Monica talked to the audience during every interval between songs, saying that she loves Vietnam deep in her heart.






The Japanese band Okamoto’s rocked the show with Aoi Tengoku, Ai No Theme and Mr.Fantasista, all in Japanese.


Vietnamese singer Phuong Vy then shared the stage with the band to perform I Love Rock and Roll.
The 2007 Vietnam Idol winner also featured some of her own popular songs, namely Co Doi Lan (Sometimes), Dung Boi Roi (Don’t be Confused), Gian Anh (Hate You) and I’m Lavy.


The concert ended with the artists all together singing Man in Mirror by the 'King of Pop', Michael Jackson, to convey the message that no one can prevent you from pursuing your dreams, and you can make them come true if you just keep on believing.
