Miss World Vietnam contestants engage in first activities in Thai Nguyen
VOV.VN - The northern province of Thai Nguyen welcomed the leading 64 contestants of Miss World Vietnam 2022 as they gear up for the final round of the pageant.
The contestants visited the Thai Nguyen Intelligent Operation Centre (IOC), providing them with opportunities to learn about the use of advanced machinery, including the implementation of Industry 4.0 technology.
The Top 64 finalists donning traditional Ao Dai, the Vietnamese traditional long dress, offered incense at a monument commemorating soldiers who sacrificed for the cause of national freedom, and listened to historical stories about them.
The beauties will continue to take part in a diverse range of community activities and compete for the titles of Miss Tourism and Miss Talent from April 4 to April 24.
The grand finale of the event is set to get underway in Quy Nhon city of Binh Dinh province on August 13.
This is the second iteration of the beauty contest after the first taking place in 2018.
In the current contest, organisers have for the first time removed the rule that candidates must have natural beauty, instead allowing them to have undergone aesthetic surgery.
