Miss Vietnam Pageant 2016 launches
VOV.VN - The national pageant, Miss Vietnam 2016, officially kicked off on March 15 in Ho Chi Minh City, aiming to honour the beauty of Vietnamese women.
According to the organizing board, Vietnamese women who are unmarried, from 1.62m in height and high-school graduates can register to compete. Those who have had plastic surgery are not eligible to participate.
Contestants will compete in four categories, including evening wear, ao dai, swimsuit and Q&A.
The winner of Miss Vietnam 2016 will receive US$25,000 (VND500 million) while the first and second-runners up get US$15,000 (VND300 million) and US$10,000 (VND200 million), respectively.
The final round of the pageant will be on August 27 in Ho Chi Minh City with the preliminary rounds taking place in July.
