Miss Tourism Ethnic Vietnam unveils crown celebrating terraced fields
VOV.VN - The crown for the winner of the first-ever Miss Tourism Ethnic Vietnam 2025 pageant is named the “Purple Ban Flower”, impressing with a design inspired by the terraced rice fields of Northwest Vietnam, a distinctive image of the highland ethnic communities.

Unveiled at a recent press conference, the crown harmoniously combines the image of the blooming purple ban flower, that symbolizes purity, loyalty, and the vibrant spirit of Vietnamese women, with the phoenix, representing power and aspiration. The centerpiece features a stylised phoenix head elegantly intertwined with the blossoming purple ban petals.
The base of the crown is crafted to resemble the flowing terraces of rice fields, symbolizing the diligence, creativity, and harmony with nature of the Northwest ethnic people. Set on a radiant precious metal frame, the crown is adorned with pinkish-purple stones that evoke the purple ban flower at sunset, conveying messages of faith, love, and enduring resilience.
The crown not only highlights the beauty and intellect of the winner but also helps spread love for the homeland, ethnic pride, and the ambition to promote Vietnam’s image to the world.
Following the crown announcement, the contestants proceeded to the preliminary round, where they introduced themselves and responded to interview questions from the judges. Many participants demonstrated careful preparation for the pageant, showcasing their ethnic heritage and impressing the judges with the unique beauty of their ethnic groups and hometowns.
The organisers will select 30 contestants to advance to the “common house” and participate in four reality TV episodes which is set to be filmed on the Moc Chau Plateau. The grand finale will take place in mid-November in Moc Chau.
