Maroon 5 set for debut Vietnam performance

VOV.VN - Famous pop rock band Maroon 5 of the United States will perform at the second 8Wonder Winter Festival which will take place on December 16 on Phu Quoc, marking their first appearance in the nation.

The band debuted back in 2002 and consists of six members, including lead vocalist Adam Levine.

Their hit songs include “She Will Be Loved”, “Payphone”, “Moves Like Jagger”, “Sunday Morning”, “Animals”, “Sugar”, and “Maps”.

With hit singles “Harder to Breathe”, “This Love”, and "She Will Be Loved", their album “Songs About Jane” peaked at number six on the Billboard 200 chart and went quadruple platinum in 2005. The same year saw the band win the Grammy Award for Best New Artist.

The band's second album “It Won't Be Soon Before Long” was released in May, 2007. It debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart and the lead single "Makes Me Wonder" became the band's first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100.

Maroon 5 has sold more than 135 million records, making them one of the world's best-selling music artists. In January, it was announced that "Moves Like Jagger" had become the second most downloaded song of all time.
