Lotus village festival marks birthday of President Ho Chi Minh

VOV.VN - The central province of Nghe An is scheduled to run a music gala on May 19 in Vinh City as part of the Lang Sen (Lotus Village) festival to celebrate President Ho Chi Minh’s 132nd birthday.

The event is set to bring together singers, models, and beauty queens from both Nghe An and Ho Chi Minh City.

The music gala will feature many songs which praise the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh.

Stories about Lang Sen village in Kim Lien commune of Nam Dan district, the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh, will also be told during the event.

The music gala will be broadcast live on Nghe An province’s NTV channel and Ho Chi Minh City’s HTV channel. It is part of a range of activities taking place at the Lang Sen festival on May 17 - 19 in Nghe An.

A ceremony to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his statue in Vinh city, as well as an incense offering ceremony in Kim Lien Relic site in Nam Dan district, will get underway during the festival.

The annual Lang Sen festival, held to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday, has been postponed for the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
