Lotus Village Festival commemorates late President’s birthday

The 2012 Lang Sen (Lotus Village) Festival began in the home village of late President Ho Chi Minh’s Kim Lien commune in Nam Dan district, the central province of Nghe An, on May 17.
More than 20 art troupes attended the three-day event, which was part of a wide range of activities to celebrate the 122nd birthday (May 19) of the late President, known as Uncle Ho to Vietnamese people.
This year, the annual festival included this year numerous events, such as an incense offering ceremony, a traditional music show, a volleyball tournament, a camping gathering, and a photographic exhibition.
