Local team wins Int’l Volleyball Tourney
(VOV) - LienViet Post Bank (Vietnam) defeated Karaganda (Kazakhstan) in the final match of the 7th VTV-Binh Dien Cup International Women’s Volleyball Tournament held in the Central Highland city of Pleiku on March 10.
The Vietnamese team easily trounced its Karaganda rivals in the first set 25-17, but was beaten 20-25 in the second set.
The situation was reversed in the third set when the Karaganda team lost 22-25 to the Vietnamese team, but again won a score of 25-19.
The decisive fifth set ended with 15-11 in favour of LienViet Post Bank.
The first prize went to LienViet Post Bank and the second and third prizes to Karaganda and VietinBank, respectively.
