Local reporter wins int’l photo contest
Viet Van, a reporter from Lao Dong (Labour) newspaper, has won first prize at an international photo contest held by Creative Invite and ViewBug in the US.
With the awarded work “Cau Nguyen” (Praying), Viet Van will have an opportunity to be featured on ViewBug and the website of Talenthouse, the co-organizers of the contest.
Viet Van has also won many prestigious prizes in the US, the UK, France and Australia.
The contest was judged by Robert Caplin, a famous photographer who works for the New York Times, Los Angeles Times and The Wall Street Journal. It aimed to encourage and highlight the creativity and talent of young photographers.
