Liem to compete in tiebreak at Chess World Cup
(VOV) - Grandmaster Le Quang Liem continued to draw with Vallejo Pons (Spain) in the second round of the 2013 Chess World Cup in Norway on August 15.
His 1-1 draw with the Spanish rival came after 25 moves.
Both will have to compete in the tiebreak on August 16 to win a ticket to the third round.
The same day, another Vietnamese player Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son was disqualified from the tournament after losing 0-1 to his Russian rival Dmitry Andreikin in the second round.
