Legendary cellist Mischa Maisky to take the stage in Hanoi
VOV.VN - World-renowned cellist Mischa Maisky will perform at Ho Guom Opera House in Hanoi on November 2 as the headline act for the 13th Cello Fundamento concert.
The Belgian-born musician, recognized among the top 10 cellists of all time alongside Yo-Yo Ma, will share the stage with Vietnamese cellist Dinh Hoai Xuan. Xuan is the first Asian artist to duet with the legendary cellist.
The concert will also feature pianist Lily Maisky and French violinist Nicolas Dautricourt, who plays a US$20 million Stradivarius violin. A recurring judge at international classical competitions, Dautricourt has performed in two previous Cello Fundamento editions, helping strengthen the event's global stature.
As the concert founder, Xuan shared that bringing Maisky to Vietnam was a personal dream sparked during her postgraduate studies in Romania.
Given Maisky’s international standing, his participation represents a special favor for Vietnam and a milestone in Xuan’s artistic career.
Kyushu Symphony Orchestra to perform at Ho Guom Opera House
