Legendary band Boney M to thrill Vietnamese audiences this Christmas
VOV.VN - World renowned disco band Boney M are set to enliven the Central Highland province of Lam Dong alongside celebrated singers and bands from the 1970s and 1980s, including Joy and Samantha Fox, during the Da Lat spring concert which will be held on December 21.
Originally formed in 1976, Boney M are known as one of the most successful disco bands of all time.
The German band consist of four members and are famous for songs like Daddy Cool, Sunny, Rivers of Babylon, and Rasputin.
Liz Mitchell, the lead singer of Boney M, previously performed in Vietnam in 2016 and 2019. This will be her third return to showcase the band’s most famous hits, as well as many classic Christmas songs.
The concert will also see the presence of Austrian band Joy who will return to the country after five years. They will perform hit songs such as Touch by Touch, Hey Hello, Valerie, and I'm in Love.
For English pop singer Samantha Fox, dubbed the 'Queen of 1980s Pop', this will mark her first time performing in the country. She will bring her hit songs to the Da Lat event, such as Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now and I Only Wanna Be With You.
The Da Lat spring concert will be the first event of its kind and is expected to turn the city into a destination for global music legends. The international music show is expected to welcome crowds of more than 20,000 people.
