Born in 2002 in Nghe An province, central Vietnam, she is 1.77 meters tall and holds a master’s degree in business administration.

Organizers said Thu Tra represents a generation of Vietnamese women who are resilient, intelligent and well-educated. They described her as a contestant who fits the pageant’s criteria emphasizing confidence, poise, knowledge and international presence.

The Nghe An-born contestant is also a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam. She previously won the runner-up title at the 2021 Student Elegance Contest of Thuongmai University and placed in the top 15 at Miss National Vietnam 2024. Thu Tra is currently training for the competition ahead of the international pageant and hopes to achieve a strong result for Vietnam.

Earlier, Miss Intercontinental Vietnam organizers announced five candidates being considered to represent Vietnam at the 54th edition of Miss Intercontinental, including runners-up Tam Nhu, Cam Ly, Phuong Thanh, Thu Tra and Phuong Anh. So far, Bao Ngoc remains Vietnam’s highest achiever at the pageant after winning the Miss Intercontinental 2022 crown.
