Laos to host culture and tourism week of Vietnamese localities
VOV.VN - The first-ever culture and tourism week showcasing Vietnam’s northwestern region and Ho Chi Minh City will take place in Luang Prabang province of Laos from October 25 to 27.
Phu Tho, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, and five other northwestern provinces will send art troupes to the debut event, which is also part of activities to celebrate the 61st anniversary of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic ties this year.
The highlight of the week will be an art programme featuring the natural beauty and friendly nature of people of the two countries, as well as introducing the unique culture of each locality to the public.
A wide range of activities will take place, including exhibitions of tourism photos of Vietnamese and Lao localities, along with fairs to display tourism and agricultural products.
Farmiliarisation trips, a workshop promoting tourism of the northwestern region and Ho Chi Minh City, and a cultural exchange programme among Vietnamese and Lao localities will also be held.
