Lantern festival celebrates Vietnam-RoK diplomatic ties
VOV.VN - The Republic of Korea (RoK)’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) announced on September 8 that the Vietnam-RoK lantern festival to be held in Hanoi from September 9 to 11 will kick-start a wide range of activities to mark 30 years of bilateral diplomatic ties between the Rok.
Many other activities to introduce Korean culture and music will be held on this occasion.
Meanwhile, an Asian Culture Week will take place in the RoK in October which is expected to help visitors experience Vietnamese culture and traditional costumes.
Other activities include the Korean-Vietnamese Book Fair taking place at the end of September, while K-Expo and the Korean Cultural Festival are slated for October.
Moreover, a Korean Space and the Centre for Virtual Reality Experience are scheduled to be inaugurated at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in November, while a Korea Culture & Tourism Exhibition will be held in December.
Last December the Ministers of Culture, Sports and Tourism of both sides signed the Korea - Vietnam Cultural Exchange Program 2022 in order to mark the 30th anniversary since the establishment of joint diplomatic relations.
Both sides pledged to promote cultural exchanges and co-operation in organising a wide range of cultural events as part of celebrations for the important occasion.
