Lang Biang International Music Festival to promote Lam Dong’s culture and tourism

VOV.VN - The Central Highland province of Lam Dong will host the Lang Biang International Music Festival 2026 in Da Lat City from November 13 to 15, 2026, aiming to promote local culture, tourism, and its status as a UNESCO Creative City of Music.

The Steering Committee for UNESCO Creative City of Music Activities in Lam Dong province issued the organization plan for the festival.

The key event fulfills commitments under the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, providing a collaborative space for domestic and international artists, bands, experts, and organizations.

The festival marks Vietnam Cultural Day 2026, while advancing Vietnamese cultural values, promoting Lam Dong's landscape and people, enhancing recognition of its UNESCO title, and developing signature musical tourism products.

On November 13, a scientific seminar titled "Da Lat - UNESCO Creative City of Music: Music, Creativity, and Sustainable Development" and performances of two musical theater works will take place at the Dalat Opera House.

The main Lang Biang International Music Program will be held on November 14 at Lam Vien Square, featuring performances by domestic and international artists free of charge for the public.

On November 15, the festival continues with a real-scene performance recreating the Worship of the Forest Goddesses at the Hung Kings Temple in Cam Ly Ward, Da Lat, alongside a musical exchange featuring bands from Cuba, the Republic of Korea (RoK), Russia, the US, and Vietnam at Lam Vien Square.

A traditional musical instrument experience space will run continuously from November 13 to 15 at the Lam Dong Museum, highlighting traditional instruments, ethnic musical practices, gong performances, and educational activities to preserve musical heritage.

Organizers require the festival to ensure professional, safe, and cost-effective implementation while stepping up digital communications to promote the UNESCO Creative City title and Lam Dong's image to domestic and international audiences.
