Lacquer painting exhibition opens in Hanoi

VOV.VN - The Korean Cultural Centre in Vietnam has organized a lacquer painting exhibition with the theme of ‘Fairyland’ by painter Nguyen Quoc Huy in Hanoi, aiming to preserve and promote the lacquer art of Vietnam.

29 lacquer paintings are on show at the event with artwork full of vibrant colours portraying eggshells, flowers and leaves, to evoke the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere of Vietnamese villages.

Through the exhibition, the Korean Cultural Centre in Vietnam also wishes to provide opportunities for artists who are passionate about lacquer paintings to meet and share their own experiences.

The event which is being held at 49 Nguyen Du street in Hanoi will run through to November 17.
