Korean pianist Heejin An set for Hanoi performance

VOV.VN - Heejin An, a talented pianist from the Republic of Korea, is scheduled to perform at a concert held in the Grand Concert Hall of the Vietnam National Academy of Music in Hanoi on October 12.

She will perform in a special concert alongside artists from the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of conductor Tran Vuong Thach.

Classical global pieces of music such as the Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No.2 composed by S. Rachmaninoff, in addition to Symphony No.7 by Beethoven, will be brought to audiences through a display of talent by both Vietnamese artists and renowned Korean pianist Heejin An.

The concert is an annual event hosted by the Vietnam National Academy of Music. The show aims to strengthen friendship between Vietnam and other countries worldwide.

Heejin An, 29, is an experienced performer, having taken part in many concerts globally. She has won numerous prizes in her home country including the Korea Times, Eum-Yeon, and Music Journal.
