K-culture supporters organize group in Vietnam
VOV.VN - A group of local Vietnamese has launched an organization to introduce and support the Korean culture wave of hallyu, which has been earning widespread popularity across Vietnam.
The newly organized ‘K-culture supporters’ have begun full-fledged activities after a launching ceremony at the Korean Cultural Centre in Vietnam on March 11 in a bid to assist cultural exchange between the Republic of Korea and Vietnam while supporting the spread of hallyu.
The 10-member organization includes figures representing the Vietnamese culture, art and academic fields including actor Hong Dang, pianist Trang Trinh, food blogger Phan Anh, and Taekwondo artist Nguyen Minh Tu.
Other members also include MC and editor at VTV Khanh Linh and Dr Nguyen Le Thu from the Vietnam National University.

They will also positively support various kinds of cultural events to be held by the Republic of Korea Embassy in Hanoi and actively participate in cultural events and share information on Korean culture via Facebook, Instagram, and Flickr.
The supporters will periodically hold open lectures on Korean culture and classical music concerts that musicians from the two countries will attend.
A Vietnamese supporter said there are hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese enjoying Korean pop culture, cinema and music, adding that K-culture supporters will play a pivotal role in heating up the hallyu craze.
